If your finger is on the pulse of Web 2.0 technology and you are a qualified Quality Assurance and Tech Support Engineer, then we would love to meet you. We are seeking a team player who is motivated and full of energy to assist in developing an enterprise multimedia application.
Media
& Technology Development Company is seeking an energetic,
team-oriented, and motivated Software Quality Assurance and Technical Support Engineer to join
a team developing an enterprise multimedia application. This position
will play an important role in an agile organization that is serious
about technology.
Development will focus on Rich Internet multimedia technologies such as Flex, Flash and AIR built on top of
enterprise class Web Services.
The right candidate is
experienced testing and supporting web applications with a focus on
user interfaces. You should have a background with multiple
technologies and in
web, desktop, and other application environments, and
comfortable in a small company atmosphere and ready to take on any
engineering task needed as part of a small, dedicated technical team.
A passion for delivering a high-quality application to a large and
demanding user base on aggressive schedules is crucial. Experience
with Web 2.0 technology and processes is critical.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with the Director of Engineering
to plan and execute testing of software.
Serve as a primary quality assurance
engineering resource.
Support the technology team with server configuration and application deployment.
Assist with customer support as the first escalation level.
REQUIREMENTS:
Experience with the full software
development lifecycle, and with agile development methodologies.
A strong sense of ownership
throughout the software development life cycle.
Excellent verbal and written
communications skills.
Experience with graphical desktop
applications as well is an advantage.
At least 2 years of product
development experience for a Software company, and at least one of
those years in web front-end application testing.
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science
or related field.
Expertise with test management tools and processes.
Experience with automated test tools.
Hands-on experience with open source
web platforms such as Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, and Spring.
System administration skills on Linux server platforms.
